The Astro Tone Fuzz by Analog Man – It's Electra series
In this episode, we discover Analog Man's Astro Tone Fuzz. This pedal is based on the 1960s SAM ASH FUZZZ BOXX and ASTROTONE FUZZ made in New York in 1966-68 by the Astro Amp company. The sound is not as compressed as a Fuzz Face, not super thick and saturated, something between a fuzz and a distortion. It's more fuzzy in a smaller amp (Fender Deluxe), and more BOOSTER in a big saturated amp (Marshall 1970s Super Lead). Analog Man also notes how well it pairs with other fuzz or drive pedals. Something we didn't try in this video but plan to experiment in the future.
