The Beatles made only one television appearance in Britain to promote the Help! album; other shows had to air pre-recorded clips instead.
Blackpool Night Out was made by ABC TV and filmed at the ABC Theater in Blackpool. It was broadcast by all but one of the UK's ITV companies in a live broadcast between 9:10 p.m. and 10:05 p.m.
The group ended with Help!, following John Lennon's ironic announcement to McCartney: /"Thank you Ringo, it was wonderful/".
