The Blue Cross by GK Chesterton – the first Father Brown story from The Innocence of Father Brown

This is the first Father Brown story in which we learn about the Essex priest-detective and his extraordinary skills. There is an appearance by a Frenchman and an Italian – in this version only the bats can tell the difference.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story. I've gone back to my usual method of recording, for anyone worried. I can't really explain this sudden burst of productivity, but it's probably mainly because it's cold outside.
