Professor John J. Mearsheimer provides his answers in the lecture “The Future of Great Power Politics and Its Implications for Poland/” and in the following Q&A session.
#TheConference took place at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies of the University of Warsaw on January 17, 2020. The meeting was led by prof. Anna Wojciuk from the Department of Political Science Methodology.
The event was associated with the premiere of the Polish translation of prof. Mearsheimer's book “The Tragedy of Great Power Politics”, published by the Universitas publishing house. The translation was financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. John J. Mearsheimer (born 1947) is an American political scientist and specialist in international relations, belonging to the realist school of thought, professor at the University of Chicago. Founder of offensive realism. Author of (among others): The tragedy of great power politics (2001), The Israeli lobby and American foreign policy (2007), The great illusion: liberal dreams and international realities (2018).
