ABOUT REVIEW BOOKSHOP LONDON
Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, a stone's throw from the British Museum, the London Review Bookshop has established itself as an essential part of the capital's cultural life. Opened in 2003 by the London Review of Books, it is a place where book lovers can meet, chat, drink excellent tea and coffee, enjoy delicious cakes and, of course, browse.
Our selection of more than 20,000 titles ranges from classics of world literature to avant-garde contemporary fiction and poetry, not to mention a rich exhibition of history, politics, philosophy, cuisine, essays and children's books. And our charming store, designed by Utility's Amanda Culpin, provides the perfect setting to explore them all.
THE PASTRY
Surrounded by books and scented with tea, the London Review Cake Shop is the modern answer to London's long-gone literary cafes. Accessed through the bookstore via a hallway in the history section, the Cake Shop offers a small but vibrant menu, a wide selection of fine teas and premium espresso. Above all, it constitutes a haven for reading and reflection.
The London Review bookstore and patisserie is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The bookstore is also open on Sundays, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
