Today, on Sandwiches of History, we are testing the Montpellier Sandwich. To be honest, I don't know why the author of the 1909 Up-To-Date Sandwich Book chose that name. Hard-boiled eggs, anchovies and butter go together surprisingly well in this sandwich. Go figure.
