The Oscar-famous “Little Women” family was born in the author’s current home.
This year's film version of "Little Women" received six Oscar nominations, including one for best picture. Author Louisa May Alcott was inspired to write her historical novel, based on her own family, at Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts. Special correspondent Jared Bowen of WGBH Boston examines how Alcott's sense of place gave rise to a body of work that still endures some 150 years later.
