Prince Edward, otherwise known as the Black Prince, would live throughout the 14th century into the late Middle Ages. This era was catastrophic, with many events that would kill around half of England's population, such as the 100 Years' War with England against France, the Great Famine, and the Black Death to name a few. Although Edward never reigned as King of England, he went down in history as one of England's greatest military leaders and warriors, achieving victory against England's medieval rivals. During his lifetime, he would be known throughout Europe as the Black Prince, due to his warrior status, the massacres he ordered, and perhaps his black armor. He is today considered a model of chivalry and was undoubtedly one of the greatest knights of his time. This is his story.
