The Silurian Period: Life Moving to Earth and Other Life
In this video we will explore the life of the Silurian. The history of landward movement is often presented as a major component of the Silurian, but as we will see, microbes, plants, and probably fungi were all present on land before the Silurian. And animals might be too, although we're still waiting for convincing pre-Silurian fossils. Beyond the history of terrestrialization, we will meet some other actors of the Silurian. Eurypterids were some pretty awesome apex predators that I would love to meet and hang out with someday. And then there are the corals which feel good but are also a little weird.
