/“He Should Have Told the Bees/” by Amanda Cox is a poignant, beautifully woven story about secrets, forgiveness, and the unbreakable ties that bind us to our past. Easily the best books I read in August. Set against the backdrop of a charming bee farm, this heartwarming novel explores the healing power of truth and the enduring love that transcends time.
Finally, /"Like a ship on the sea/" by Kellyn Roth. Lady Mary Cassidy O'Connell dreams of a loving husband, adorable children and a home of her own, but her mother's neglect makes life unbearable. In an attempt to escape, she plans to marry Aubrey Montgomery, her parents' choice. However, as she attends her friend's joyful wedding, her doubts about Aubrey intensify. Enter Patrick Hilton, the son of a wealthy American, who says he is happy with his arranged marriage. Cassie grapples with an impossible choice: an unfulfilling marriage or a journey into the unknown without refuge, while seeking God's direction.
