The program includes highlights ranging from the excavation of the Buckingham Palace garden, to revealing the final minutes of a crashed Spitfire, to the discovery of the first stone circle discovered in Britain for 150 years.

It also tells how Time Team grew from nervous beginnings on a Somerset estate to include city-wide digs – and even national-scale events, when thousands of people spent the weekend to dig their own garden.

Time Team has transformed the way millions of people understand British history and heritage, and has invested many millions of pounds into our archaeology.
