Top 10 favorite reads of 2023

It's that time of year again. Here are my 10 favorite books I read in 2023, ranked: fiction, non-fiction, poetry and even a collection of short stories (I know!). Overall, this reading year was a success for me, so I'm happy to participate in the end-of-year /"Top 10 List/" celebrations with 10 honest-to-goodness favorite reads. Not included are ARCs I've read for 2024 (those will count toward next year's list) or projects I've worked on for work (although thanks to Nana Kwame Adjei's Chain Gang All Stars -Brenyah – a phenomenal novel).
