The story of Full Metal Panic! centers around a group of mercenaries called Mithril on a parallel Earth in which the Cold War did not end in 1991. Sōsuke Sagara, a seventeen-year-old military specialist working for Mithril, was tasked with infiltrating to protect high school student Kaname Chidori.
