I was going to go to Illinois to film the Canadian Pacific steam train but I was in too much pain and decided to stay home. However, I wanted to film some trains, so I headed to the Kentucky Railroad. I arrived a little late but I had also filmed a few other trains beforehand and will post them soon. I was only here 40 minutes when the first Norfolk Southern train with John Deere tractors arrived. I believe this is train 123. It was a good train and had some double DPU locomotives in the middle working hard. Just before the end of the train arrived, I heard horns honking at the other crossing. A CSX train was heading to Cincinnati, so I had trains passing on both sides of me. It was pretty cool. Has this ever happened to you before?
Then we see another southbound manifest speeding past. This train has a DPU at the rear. Listen to how loud it was. It was great.
The last train is another Norfolk Southern manifest with a DPU in the rear. This is a northbound train heading to Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati. I finally took out my radar gadget and checked the speed. How fast do you think the trains run here? You will find.
This video also features Live Action pets, including a baby chicken that the kids bought at the feed store. The slideshow is longer than usual but contains the awesome action you just saw. Some of these trains were in reservation!
