D crossed the southern border, into the domain of the cruelest and most evil of royalty, General Gaskell. Along the way, he picks up a “victim” – one of the few survivors from the villages – and heads towards her and the Liberators. Along the way, he is attacked by the Drowned and fights many other incredibly gruesome enemies. All of this suggests that Gaskell – who was supposed to have been put to death in the sunlight – is still very much alive. But why?
