Amy Robsart – or by her married name, Amy Dudley – is unfortunately most famous for her death. On September 8, 1560, Amy was found dead at the foot of a staircase, apparently having broken her neck. Her investigation revealed an accidental death, but as her husband, Robert Dudley, was Elizabeth I's favorite, rumors began that his death might actually have been murder. This video takes a look at the parts of Amy's life that are forgotten and the different scenarios surrounding her tragic passing…

**TRIGGER WARNING** This video contains discussion of suicide in a historical setting.
