WRAL's half-hour documentary "State of Inequality" examines the wealth gap between people and places in North Carolina. It profiles a person belonging to the richest 1% and a person living below the poverty line. It examines their common bonds, their different backgrounds and their shared vision on the issue of income inequality. The documentary also profiles Wake and Bertie counties and examines why they are on opposite ends of the prosperity scale. “State of Inequality” also explores the effects of wealth disparity and possible solutions to mitigate the impact.
