The video, apparently captured Sunday evening, showed the melee broke out after a young woman appeared to grab a phone from a Marine and throw it during a verbal confrontation on Sixth Street.
A young man wearing a white hoodie then lunges at a Marine before being stopped by others wearing all their blue uniforms, the footage shows.
For a few seconds, several Marines clash with the young man and a few of his friends – with some shoving involved – before the man in the white hoodie appears to throw the first punch.
Chaos ensues as at least some fighting breaks out between the different groups.
