Cowboy Song – Whoopee Ti Yi Yo
Wilfred Glenn and Shannon Quartet
Victor 19059 – Registered April 23, 1923

Bass Wilfred Glenn, baritone Elliott Shaw, and tenors Lewis James and Charles Hart made up the Shannon Four. Franklyn Baur later replaced Hart and the group changed its name to the Revelers in 1925. The orchestra here is conducted by Rosario Bourdon.

A very first recording of this famous cowboy song, marketed as an "educational" record by "Liberty Choir and Community Songs". Incidentally, this was also recorded on my birthday, although several years before I was born.

Transferred from the original 78 rpm disc by RC Montgomery.

NOTE: This recorded material is transferred from a 78 rpm disc and presented for the non-profit purposes of education, comment and criticism pursuant to 17 USC § 107: Fair Use. If a complaint arises, it will be removed without the need to create another conflict.
